We are based in California, U.S.A. and all packages are shipped from and housed in our facility.
Within the United States ~ Shipping is based on weight and zones/destination as determined by the US Postal Service. Our shipping is automatically calculated based on USPS guidelines. Any packages weighing more than 1 lb. would be automatically shipped by Priority Mail with 1–3-day delivery and $100 shipping insurance included. If applicable, we also offer UPS shipping options. Pricing for UPS will be shown during checkout.
Worldwide Shipping ~ By EmJ now ships worldwide! We offer the following shipping options for international orders (some options might not be available for all destinations):
- United States Postal Service ~ Based on our experience, shipping internationally using USPS has been the least reliable. The length of time for delivery is comparable to Pirate Ship and yet most often, USPS is more expensive. However, if you decide to ship via USPS, By EmJ purchases shipping insurance at our own cost to cover any lost, stolen, or damaged packages. Packages are considered lost after 45-50 days of placing your order. To find out if you are eligible to file for a claim, please email us at email@example.com and we will be more than happy to assist you.
- Pirate Ship via Asendia – This option is exclusive to Pirate Ship. We found that this has been the cheapest way to ship packages less than 4 pounds in weight, internationally. The downside is that it takes longer than UPS or DHL. Their website states that it takes 1-4 weeks but lately, it has been taking anywhere from 4-6 weeks to deliver due to COVID. However, this is still a great way to ship your package if you are not in a hurry to receive your order. As an additional service, By EmJ purchases shipping insurance at our own expense when you use Pirate Ship. This insurance can be used if your package is lost, stolen or damaged. Packages are considered lost after 45-50 days of placing your order. - UPS ~ If applicable, shipping insurance is included with UPS label.
- DHL ~ If applicable, shipping insurance is included with DHL label.
CUSTOM AND TAXES FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Please note that international orders might have additional charges which could include import duties, taxes and/or custom fees. These fees are in addition to the purchase price and shipping fees that you have already paid when you placed your order. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure that all or any additional import fees are paid. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making your purchase.
CORRECT SHIPPING INFORMATION
Please check that you gave us the correct delivery address at the time of ordering and on your Order Confirmation email also. If you find that you have entered your information incorrectly, please contact us immediately at email@example.com . We will make every effort to update your information as you requested. However, if your order has already been picked up by the freight carrier, we claim no responsibility nor liability for any lost packages. If your package is Returned to Sender (returned to us), we will contact you to arrange for alternative delivery. It breaks our heart, but we will most likely have to charge you a second shipping fee.
WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE DISPATCHED
We do our best to package and ship your items 3-5 business days after placing your order. Business days are Mondays – Fridays excluding holidays. So, if you place your order on Friday, the 1st business day after placing your order will be the following Monday (if it is not a holiday). Please note that it might take longer to process your orders during shop updates due to increased volume. During those times, we will make every effort to give you shipping updates on our social media.
Once your package has been dispatched, an automatic email notification will be sent to you containing your tracking information. You may follow along with your package using this tracking number.
If your order contains a pre-order, we will ship your items when they all become available. If any issues arise, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Delivery times are used as a guide only and they start from the date of dispatch. Please rest assured that we make every effort to adhere to our delivery timeframes but delays due to the post office happens from time to time. Occasionally, the freight carrier will also scan your items as "delivered" before delivering your package. Most oftentimes, your package shows up after 24 hours. If you don’t receive your package after that time, please contact your local post office first to make sure that they are not holding your parcel for redelivery. If you are unable to locate your package after contacting the post office, you may contact us at email@example.com for further assistance.
